End of a Big Day

Could this face be any cuter?

BBQ on the River

Wow, this event has gotten really big! We went down to the river and enjoyed lots and lots of BBQ! It was so tasty we licked our fingers clean! We tried to listen to the band in the Beer Garden, but Eleanor wasn't old enough to get in! Instead we sat behind the booths. When we got Eleanor out of bed the next morning she smelled like BBQ.

Congratulations Andrew!

Andrew has passed the second test on the way to get his real estate appraiser's license! To celebrate JonJon performed this party trick with a sword and bottle of champagne. Of coarse with champagne flowing we filled up the glasses and toasted to Andrew!

Yum, Yum

Eleanor has started investigating the big wide world of solids. Ok, so she's only tried rice cereal and only gets to eat about 1/2 a teaspoon, but she is really catching on. Here are some pictures of the first time she tried this interesting new texture.

Assisted Sitter

Eleanor can sit with assistance. She loves these chairs the best. She can reach out and grab her favorite toys and then eats them. Unless, of course, its jewelry! We also think its really cute the way she puts her hands together on her chest and under her chin. (Well, OK, we think its cute when she does pretty much anything....)

Corvette Kid

Jonjon recently entered his corvette in the Corvettes on the River Show. We went down to show our support and voted his corvette number one. He was hard to find because there were lots of red ones, but we found him in the end. It was a very hot day so we had lunch and ice cream and then went home.

Jeff and Shelley's Wedding Trip

Ok. So we are a bit behind in updating with pictures from the end of August, but somehow time disappears...We had a great time seeing (Hannah and Andrew) and meeting (Eleanor) everyone.

Eleanor went to her first baseball game and sat with the girls (OK, Tommy's not a girl, but he does happen to be sitting with them...) and fell asleep so didn't watch much.

We had a fantastic time at a BBQ at Jeff and Shelley's and played with new friends Drew and Wilson. The night of the wedding was also nice, but we forgot our camera so no pictures...:(

Telling Stories

Eleanor has really started "talking". She loves to tell stories to anyone who will listen. When she wakes up from a nap instead of crying these days she fusses for a few minutes and then starts another tale.

Crossing Hands

We think its cute the way Eleanor puts her hands together.

Sleepy Time

Who's putting who to sleep here? You decide....

I can see you

Here are just some cute pictures of Eleanor after a bath. She is pushing herself up pretty well these days. We don't think it will be long until she can roll herself over.

Congratulations Daddy!

Andrew has started taking classes for doing appraisals. He passed his first test, "Well done!" Eleanor says!

Grabbing what's in Sight

After studying what's put in front of her and then studying her hands Eleanor loves to grab and play with things. Her favorite things at the moment are Mr. Turtle and Mommy's bright green bracelet. Now she is just working on how to get them in her mouth. She's very close!

Eleanor loves Mommy

Eleanor has been learning lots - like how to hold her head up all by herself! She is very attentive to what's going on around her. Little E hasn't been taking all her naps lately, but instead has been telling us lots of stories. She also likes to give "eskimo kisses" (rubbing noses together). Another growth spurt is happening too as she is hungier more often! We're sure she'll settle back down to her routine though.
